Larger staterooms and suites with exclusive outdoor balconies

Scenic 'Space-Ships' are a new generation of river cruise ships.  At 135 meters (443 feet) long, they offer 22% more space than standard vessels and have two entire decks of balcony cabins.  That's 82% of all cabins.  As a result, our Private Balcony Suites are 24% larger than normal, and offer exceptional comfort.  Each has its own private full size outdoor balcony, while our Royal and Junior Suites, and suites on the superior Danube Deck, enjoy the services of a private butler.

On our newest vessel, Scenic Crystal, we have introduced the Scenic ‘Sun Lounge’ on 100% of all balcony cabins – fully-enclosed private balconies which open to the outdoors when the weather is fine and become a sealed private sun-lounge when it isn’t.

Larger lounges with more space to relax

Relax in our spacious Panorama Lounge and Bar and enjoy breathtaking views through “floor to ceiling” windows.  At 31 meters (102 feet) long it is 20% larger than those on standard River Cruise Ships.  Three outdoor viewing areas provide generous vantage points from which to admire the fairy-tale landscape of the Rhine; with the 5 meter (16 foot) Observation Lounge, at the bow of the ship a favorite.

More dining space for flexible seating

More dining space for flexible seating – three separate dining areas provide added variety and choice for guests; from dining in our main restaurant, the Crystal Dining Room, to an intimate fine dining experience at Portobello’s restaurant or on the sun deck for a unique outdoor dining experience.

The Crystal Dining Room is large enough that all our guests can dine in a single sitting – choose a private table for two, or dine with friends at tables of four, six or eight.

At Portobello’s enjoy a five-course meal and the finest Italian wines. Enjoy this intimate room at the bow of the ship and revel in the spectacular views outside your window.

On selected days the Sun Deck turns into a unique outdoor dining experience with an open-air BBQ amidst the shifting panorama of Europe.
