We have a fleet of four luxury vessels that were built exclusively to Scenic Tours specifications, using cutting-edge technology, designed by Europe's leading naval architects. Our fifth ship Scenic Pearl, will join her sisters, Scenic Emerald, Scenic Sapphire, Scenic Diamond and Scenic Ruby, early in 2011.

All the ships in our fleet are 148 yards long, compared to standard European river cruising vessels at 120 yards. That's 22% more space.

Choose a stateroom or a suite

All accommodation on Scenic 'Space Ships' is designed to maximise space and comfort. Although 82% of the accommodation comes with a private, full size outdoor balcony, we do have a limited number of staterooms on the Moselle Deck with large picture windows instead.

Superb amenities

Whatever level you choose, you'll enjoy unmatched comfort with stylish appointments and excellent amenities. These include a flat screen TV and infotainment system plus wireless Internet access. In your luxurious ensuite bathroom, you'll find a selection of exquisite L'Occitane products, plush bathrobes and, of course, a hairdryer. The superior queen-size "Scenic Slumber Beds" with crisp Egyptian linens are a dream, and individual climate control provides absolute comfort. There is a mini-bar, personal safe, and even nightly turndown service, for that final touch.

Regardless of the level of accommodation, all our guests enjoy the full amenities of our 'Space Ships'. Superb cuisine, single sitting dining, spacious lounge and bar, complimentary tea and coffee, beer, wine and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, expansive outdoor viewing areas and a friendly, attentive crew.

Exclusive Balcony Suites with real balconies

The Danube and Rhine decks all have full size, private balcony suites. Simply step out into your exclusive domain and watch a spectacular world go by. Here, sip freshly brewed coffee or tea as the sun rises and fairytale castles drift by. Or simply relax with a good book and a glass of wine.

Our Private Balcony Suites are 24% larger than on other ships, and feature full outdoor balconies, with teak tables and chairs, allowing you to sit outside and enjoy the passing vistas. Other ships feature "French Balconies", which are really just sliding glass doors with a railing - no outside deck or seating.

All of our vessels offer two full decks of private balcony suites (82% of all cabins), and at a spacious 200 square feet, they provide a retreat for relaxation and enjoyment. To really treat yourself, choose one of our Royal or Junior Suites. Junior Suites offer 250 square feet of pure luxury, and Royal Suites are the last word in indulgence with 300 square feet of immaculately appointed living space.

Private butler service

Enjoy Europe in style. All guests in our Private Balcony Suites on the superior Danube Deck will enjoy our exclusive butler service. Would you like tea or coffee served on your balcony in the morning? What about booking salon appointments, arranging individual shore excursions, pressing garments or even shining your shoes? Nothing is too much trouble, and your butler will be pleased to oblige. It's these delightful personal touches and added services that make a European river cruise on board a Scenic 'Space-Ship' so special.

Exclusive for Deluxe Royal Suites

As our guest in a Royal Suite, you will enjoy an exclusive range of additional services. Transfers to a from the ship at the start and the end of your Scenic Tours vacation are by private vehicle. You are welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne and, if you desire, your butler will unpack your luggage. Room Service is available for breakfast and dinner, so you can dine in private whenever you wish. The mini bar will be stocked with your pre-arranged preferences and, in your Royal Suite, laundry service is complimentary.

Royal Suite - R Category

You deserve the very best, and our Royal Suites are the last word in indulgence, with 300 square feet of immaculately appointed living space. In addition to the standard luxurious amenities provided in all our suites, you'll have plenty of room to relax or entertain in the spacious lounge area, complete with comfortable chairs and a coffee table. Or sit outside on your private extended teak balcony, and take in the breathtaking views. Your enhanced butler service includes early morning tea and coffee service, daily service of fruit skewers in the afternoon, canapes before dinner and petit fours after dinner, shoeshine service, serving meals in your private suite, complimentary bottled water in your suite and valet service. If you desire, your butler will unpack and repack your luggage, and when you embark you'll be able to celebrate the first day of your cruise with a bottle of French champagne with our compliments. The mini-bar in your Royal Suite will be stocked according to your pre-arranged preferences. You can even have your butler draw a relaxing bath for you, and take care of your complimentary laundry service and pressing. Guests in Royal Suites will be transferred to the ship by private vehicle at the start and end of your Scenic Tours vacation. It is the ultimate in pampering.

Junior Suites - RJ and BJ Category

Located in a prime location on the ship, our Junior Suites provide additional space and enhanced services to make your European River Cruise extra special. At 250 square feet, you'll have lots of room to spread out, relax in your lounge chairs, or sit out on your private extended teak balcony to take in the breathtaking views. Soak in a luxurious bath, and enjoy your butler service, which includes early morning tea and coffee service, daily service of fruit skewers in the afternoon, canapes before dinner and petit fours after dinner, complimentary bottled water in your suite and valet service. Your butler will also take care of the complimentary pressing of 2 clothing items per person per day, and even shine your shoes.

RJ Category Junior Suites are located on the Danube Deck and BJ Category Junior Suites are located on the Rhine Deck. RJ Junior Suite 302 configuration differs from the diagram, as it provides barrier-free access in the bathroom, and does not include a bath. Twin beds are not available in Suite 302.

Junior Suites - S Category

Our S Category Junior Suites offer the same amenities and services as the RJ and BJ Junior Suites listed above, but your location at the stern of the ship allows for panoramic windows on the side and rear, as well as an enlarged, wrap-around teak balcony.

Private Balcony Suites - P, A, B and C Category

With 82% of our cabins featuring private outside teak balconies, Scenic Tours River Cruise Ships are unique on the waterways of Europe. At a spacious 200 square feet, our Private Balcony Suites are 24% larger than typical river cruise cabins, and provide a retreat for relaxation and enjoyment. Having your own balcony adds another dimension to river cruising - you'll feel as though you're on your own exclusive yacht as you step out through the sliding glass doors, sit down and enjoy the views as Europe glides past. All of our beds may be configured as either Queen or twin. Our balcony suites on the Danube Deck (P and A Category) feature butler services, including early morning tea and coffee, shoeshine service and complimentary pressing of 2 clothing items per person per day.

P and A Category Balcony Suites are located on the Danube Deck and B and C Category Balcony Suites are located on the Rhine Deck. All P, A, B and C suites have similar configurations, but placement on the ship varies by category.

Private Balcony Suite - Single - BS Category

Each of our luxurious river cruise ships features one BS Category Private Balcony Suite. At 129 square feet, this suite is designed for one person, and features a single bed. It allows a guest travelling alone to enjoy all the amenities of a Private Balcony Suite, in a more compact and cozy size.

As there is only one BS Category suite per ship it is subject to limited availability.

Outside Staterooms - D and E Category

Our standard Outside Staterooms allow you to enjoy all the amenities, sightseeing, meals and inclusions of Scenic Tours luxury European River Cruising, in our most economical accommodation. At 160 square feet, they are some of the most spacious on the rivers in Europe, and compare favorably to the largest suites available on other companies' ships. You can watch the passing views through your picture window, and also enjoy the views from the Panorama Bar and Lounge, Observation Lounge and spacious top deck.

D and E Category staterooms are located on the Moselle Deck. All D and E staterooms have similar configurations, but placement on the ship varies by category.

Our public spaces are as impressive as our private suites. The Panorama Lounge and Bar, with floor to ceiling windows, is 20% larger than on other river cruisers. We invite you to retire to the Lounge after dinner for music and dancing. On many evenings we'll bring the best of the local culture to entertain you right onboard. You may see a rollicking gypsy troupe, a classical music recital or a group of traditional Bavarian performers.

A popular spot to watch the waterways of Europe glide by is our Observation Lounge, an open-air teak deck at the bow of the ship, which is one of three outdoor viewing areas on board.

Our unique ship design also allows Scenic Tours to be the only river cruising company offering two restaurants, Crystal Dining and our exclusive Portobello's Italian Restaurant.
