DAY 1: Nuremberg (Embarkation) (D)
Welcome to Nuremberg! This afternoon a warm welcome awaits you from your crew as you board your luxury Scenic Tours river cruise ship.

DAY 2: Nuremberg (FB,L,D)
Today we explore this lively city with a medieval feel resulting from 950 years of history. SCENICENRICH  In the afternoon you’ll join a guided tour of the fascinating Nuremberg Trial Sites which were part of the aftermath of WWII. On November 20, 1945, the trials against the main war criminals started at the Nuremberg Palace of Justice.

DAY 3: Regensburg (FB,L,D)
Dating back to settlement in 500BC, Regensburg’s architectural gems are testament to its long history and past grandeur. Your guided tour includes the Thurn and Taxis Castle and we’ll see the Old Chapel.

DAY 4: Passau – Linz (FB,L,D)
Today you’ll have the choice of some great experiences. SCENIC FREECHOICE  choose from (1) a guided tour of the graceful arcades and cobblestone streets of Passau; or (2) visit Mozart’s Salzburg, setting for ‘The Sound of Music’; or (3) a full day excursion to explore the town of Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

DAY 5: Melk – Dürnstein – Vienna (FB,L,D)
Discover the magnificent Melk Benedictine Abbey, with its ornate gold leaf walls, 640ft Imperial Corridor and spectacular fresco ceilings. Later the ship sails through the spectacular Wachau valley and on to Dürnstein, one of the most enchanting villages of the Wachau wine region. This evening arrive in Vienna.

DAY 6: Vienna (FB,L,D)
Explore the famous sights of Vienna, including the Hoftburg Palace, the Vienna Opera House and the Ringstrasse. SCENIC FREECHOICE  choose from (1) a guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace, considered one of Europe’s most beautiful baroque palaces; or (2) enjoy coffee and cake in a famous coffee house. SCENICENRICH This evening attend a Viennese concert performed by musicians, opera singers, and enchanting ballet dancers.

DAY 7: Budapest (FB,L,D)
On the embankment of the Danube, Budapest is one of Eastern Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities. Enjoy a guided tour of the city sights including the Royal Palace of Buda, the medieval town on Castle Hill and the Chain Bridge linking Buda and Pest. In the afternoon enjoy free time to explore more on your own or shop for local crafts including Hungary’s legendary peasant embroidery.

DAY 8: Budapest (Disembarkation) (FB)

After breakfast this morning it’s time to farewell your fellow passengers and disembark the ship for your transfer* to the airport.
